2009

 December

  •  Raging Bull Vangelis-S was amongst the winners at Olympia winning the Christmas Tree speed stakes on Saturday 

 November

  •  Raging Bull Vangelis-S picked up some fantastic results in Novemeber. 3rd place in the World Cup Qualifier at the CSI*** Helsinki (FIN) and 2nd in the World Cup Qualifier at the CSI**** Toronto (CAN)
  • 6 yo Pro-Motion II by Pro-Set fulfilled his qualification for the Elementary Regional Championships with a win at Abbey Dressage scoring over 71%

August

  • Raging Bull Vangelis-S has been shortlisted for the European Championships in Windsor
  • Raging Bull will be launching a leisure range for the equestrian world at the European Championships in Windsor. The Raging Bull Clothing range will be available from Frogpool Manor Saddlery at their stand in Avenue B. Phil Vickery will attend the European Championships to watch his horse and autograph sessions are planned at the Frogpool Manor stand.

July

  • Vangelis-S won the British Masters at Chester Racecourse.
  • Freddie's Prospect by Libro (owned by Mr and Mrs Barnes) won the 2/3yo Warmblood class at the Royal Show and ended up Reserve Champion
  • Another foal by Libro belonging to Mr. and Mrs Webb of Archfield stud won at Three Counties Show
  • A filly yearling by Chaos ( ex K.E. First Diamond by Candle King), owned by Kate and Emma Bevan became reserve champion at the Royal Welsh.
  • 6 yo Pro-Motion by Pro-Set had a succeddful show at Mount Ballan winning the Elematary and Medium classes.
  • Chilled semen from Raging Bull Vangelis-S and Talan will be available from 27th July for one week.

June

  • Vangelis-S continues his run of success and after a 4th place in the Hickstead Derby Trial he also finished 4th in The Hickstead DFS Derby, in his first ever derby attempt.
  • A bunch of young Pro-Set 6-yo's are starting to make an impression on the dressage circuit. Fan-Set and Watley both competed in the Shearwater International 6-yo class at Wellington Premier League which was convincingly won by Fan-Set. Both are ridden by Alice Peternell (nee Wilson). Vic-Set (Tessa Thorne) and Pro-Motion II (Martin Schleicher) have been successfully competing at elementary level winning several classes wih 70%+.
  • Wizardlea HFS by Vangelis-S, ridden by Jackson Reed-Stephenson, has competed very successfully in 6 yo jumping classes and has also qualified for HOYS at Newcomer level.

May

  • Vangelis-S' recent successhas attracted celebrity interest. International and Lions rugby star Phil Vickery and his clothing company 'Raging Bull' will now support Vangelis-S and he will carry the company's prefix and be known as 'Raging Bull Vangelis-S'.

April

  • Vangelis-S achieved a very good 3rd placing at the British Open Championship at the NEC, Birmingham.

March

  • New arrivals: Big Time, Robert Smith's promising young World Cup stallion, who sadly died in 1997, produced two fantastic colt foals to Meadow Stud's top mares Pathetique by Burggraaf and Tashamo by Andiamo (dam of the 2008 Futurity Supreme Champion).
  • Talan and Vangelis-S will both be coming back to meadow Stud from the 20th April to 2nd May 2009. Fresh and chilled semen will be available during this period. Any breeders interested in this opportunity please contact the stud office on 01452 750113

 

 

 

 

 February

  • New arrival: Meadow Stud has acquired another new stallion to stand at stud for the 2009 season. 'Cash Point'  is a 3 year old Holstein bred stallion by Com Air x Chamonix. Information on Cash Point will be available on our website shortly.
  • Vangelis-S will be coming back to the stud for a short period of time from the 20th April to 2nd May 2009. Fresh and chilled semen will be available during that period. Other dates may be added which will be published on the website
  • Solitair, Landtanzer, Libro and Pro-Set will participate in the Stallion Parade at Hartpury College on the 14th of February

 

January

  •  Vangelis-S was presented at the BWP stallion show in Moorsele/BEL and was fully licensed by the BWP stallion committee and will now also be available too continental breeders through Michel Spaas' Berkenbroek

2008

November

  • Vangelis-S placed 2nd and 7th at the CSI**** Maastricht/NED
  • Vangelis-S competed in his first World Cup qualifier at CSI-W Verona/ITA and achieved a fantastic 6th place

 October

  •  Vangelis-S placed 5th and 7th at CSI*** Belfast/IRL
  • Vangelis-S performed sucessfully in front of a home ccrowd at the CSI*** Birmingham (HOYS) and achieved 2nd and 5th places !!

 September

  • Vangelis-S competed successfully again on the Nations Cup Team at Spruce Meadow/CAN and was also placed in the $1,000,000 Grand Prix on the final day

 August

  • Woodlea Farm Elenor, a yearling filly by Pro-Set out of Tashamo by Andiamo, purchased from us as a weanling last year won the show-jumping division at the Futurity final and was also crowned SUPREME CHAMPION of the whole Futurity Evaluation Series 2008. What a great result for Pro-Set again, having sired last years champion of the small horse and pony division Puck's Glen.
  • Vangelis-S achieved one of his biggest successes in his career. He was a member of the Nations Cup winning Team at the international show in Dublin/IRL
  • Fantastic news from Addington. Diaghilev, a 5 year old by Vangelis-S out of a Handstreich mare claimed second place in the British bred 5 year old championship at the British Young Show Jumping Horse Championships.
  • Additionally, at the Brightwells Foal Auction on Tuesday, a filly foal by Chaos out of an Ahorn Z mare fetched £7,000 and was third highest priced show jumping bred foal. What a fantastic result for Chaos and his first crop considering he had to prove himself against older and more established sires such as Quidam de Revel and Eurocommerce Berlin. Watch this space!

 June

  • News from Rotterdam: Vangelis-S finished 4th in the Samsung Nations Cup in Rotterdam/NED as part of the British Team and also finished 6th individually in the Grand Prix on the final day
  • Master Blaster" by Irco Lhee qualified for the Pavo Young Event horse championship at West Wilts and will represent the Meadow Stud colours at the championship at Twesedown at the end of the year. 

 May

  • More fantsastic news from abroad reached the stud in May, Vangelis-S jumped his first Nations Cup with Robert Smith and gained 3rd place in Madrid/ESP performing as one of the best horses on the team in Spain

 April

  • Fantastic news from oversees. Vanqueur by Pro-Set finally got fully approved by the SAWHA society in South Africa. He was exported at 6 month and now represents British Breeding in South Africa as Pro-Set's first graded son gaining 9 for his topline and straight 8's for all the other components. In addition, One of Vanqueur's foal claimed the reserve champion title at The South African annual breeding championshop and was only beaten by a 6 year old   
  • Good news from the States: Solitair's full brother Triviant won the Step by Step Grand Prix at Palm Beach/Florida. Below is an extract from the news article:

Sweetnam & Triviant Top $25,000 Step by Step Foundation Grand Prix

WELLINGTON, Fla., April 27--Ireland's Shane Sweetnam and Triviant captured the $25,000 Step by Step Foundation Grand Prix at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center Sunday.

The pair were the last to go in the 10 entries that made it to the jumpoff from the 23 combinations that started the class

  • The 6 year old mare Armani by Libro gained an excellent 4th place in the Elementary Restriced Freestyle class at the 2008 Winter Dressage Championships at Hartpury with owner/ rider Verity Perry. Well done to botth
  • The Show-Jumping Pony stallion Fabian has been sold  to Garry and Nancy Pinchen for their daughter Yazmin. We would like to congratulate Yazmin and Fabian for their win at the Pony of the Year Show and their fantastic placings in the Grand Prix at Le Toquet/FRA and Moorsele/BEL and wish them all the best for th future

 February

  • Good news from the competition front: Fabian qualified for the Winter JC final at Hickstead jumping a treble clear at Towerlands with up to 1.35m fences (!)
  • Vangelis-S was 3rd in the Big Tour at the Sunshine Tour in Spain, his first competition after his winter break.
  • Another New Arrival: The first foal by Chaos has arrived!! Its a beautiful filly out of a Burggraaf x Cash mare. What a great start to Chaos's breeding career

 January

  • New Arrival: The KWPN approved stallion Solitair will move to his new home in the UK in February 2008. Sharon Baldwin and Daan Horn of de Wiemselbach stallion station have agreed to offer Solitair to British breeders on British soil. Solitair will be standing at stud in the UK for the foreseeable future

2007

August

  • Vangelis S achieved a 5th place in the Puissance class at the CSIO***** Dublin/IRL
  • Fabian's run of success continued with a win at the Junior Regional Final at Bicton. He was the only (!) pony to jump a treble clear and therefore qualified for HOYS
  • Fabian also came 7th in the Junior Foxhunter final at the Scope Festival
  • August also brought on some outstanding breeding success with a 3-year old filly by Pro-Set winning the KWPN mare grading at the Hand EC and being the first British bred mare to be awarded 'ster' status

 July

  • Vangelis S had a winning streak and won classes at both the CSI**** Geesteren/Ned and CSIO***** Estoril/POR
  • Fabian conculded the Meadow Stud Jumping stallions' winning streak by winning all 6 (!) classes at the international pony show H.P.I. Cavan/IRL

 June

  • Vangelis S continued his successful run and achieved several top 5 placings at the CSI*** Gelderland/NED and Addington
  • Fabian placed himself second in a Junior Foxhunter class at the Hand EC

 May

  • Landtanzer qualified for the PSG Regional Finals
  • Vangelis-S was crowned a winner at Windsor Royal Show
  • Vangelis-S won a six bar competition at the CSIO Rome clearing 2.15m (7")

 April

  • Vangelis S achieved a very good 3rd placing in the British Open grand Prix at Birmingham NEC

 March

  • Good news reached the stud from the Sunshine Tour in Spain where Pro-Set and Carl Hester achieved a 4th and 6th placing at Grand Prix level. The pair went even better in the Grand Prix on Sunday were they won for the first time at international Grand Prix level. Pro-Set therefore achieved qualifying results for international championships
  • Fabian has achieved a fantastic second placing in a Blue Chip Coral qualifier in Sheffield and has qualified for the Blue Chip final.
  • Fabian picked up more second places at Foxhunter level at The Hand EC
  • Landtanzer claimed a 2nd place at PSG level at Abbey Dressage with Martin

 January

  • Pro-Set made an excellent Grand Prix debut winning the main class at Addington Premier League and raises the hopes for a successul first Grand Prix season

2006

 November

  • Vanita, a 4-year old gelding by Jazz, owned by Sharon and produced by Martin was second highest priced lot at Brightwells' "European Sale of Dressage Horses" fetching £36.000.

October

  • Landtanzer has upgraded to Prix St. George and claimed 2nd place at the Hand EC with Martin Schleicher
  • Nibeley Bertie Bassest by Irco Lhee was a winner in the show ring at HOYS
  • Vangelis-S was placed 6th in the  Grand Prix at the CSI-W in Oslo/Norway

 September

  • Hillview Farm Tambalyn by Irco Lhee claims the overall coloured championship at the Festival of the Horse at Malvern
  • Pro-Set came 3rd in the Intermediare I Freestyle at the National Dressage  with Carl Hester
  • Vangelis S claims his best placing so far with a 4th in the Grand Prix aat the Arena UK with Robert Smith Vangelis S also came 4th in the 1.50m class at Bremen CSI****/ Germany with Robert Smith

 June

  • Ciaran Paterson, Brendan's son,  has graduated from Vet school in Liverpool and will now join the team at the stud as the second veterinary surgeon. Congratulations

 April

  • A new addition to the resident stallions of Meadow Stud has arrived. Landtanzer is a beautiful Holstein stallion with superb paces and a powerful jump. Please check out his page as he is a truly exciting prospect. He will be competed by resident rider Martin Schleicher.

 February

  • Very good news reached the stud in Februray when Pro-Set and Carl Hester won six (!) out of seven international classes at the Sunshine Tour in Spain and was crowned overall Small Tour Champion beating several well- known combinations from the continent with scores well in the 70%s.
