Chaos combines the most famous top showjumping Holstein bloodlines in his pedigree. His sire Cassini I probably enjoys the highest esteem of any Capitol I offspring of Holstein breeding, having jumped very successfully at international level with Frank Slothaak. Cassini I is also the sire of one of the most prolific international showjumpers of recent times; Eurocommerce Berlin, winner of several international Grand Prixs all the over the world, including the World Champion Nations Cup at Aachen/GER in 2006. Chaos's dam sire Caletto I, by Cor de la Bryere was Holstein champion stallion of 1980. He is an almost perfect personification of the Holstein breeding goal; noble and expressive in type, long-bodied, with correct conformation, excellent basic gaits and exceptional jumping ability.
The addition of the exceptionally successful Landgraf I lineage makes Chaos's pedigree extremely special as it combines some of the best lineages for showjumping available in modern German warmblood breeding which certainly makes Chaos one to watch for the future.
Progeny
Chaos's first foals were born in 2008 and attracted an unbelievable amount of attention. His foals were superb, inheriting their sire's outstanding topline, conformation, paces and temperament. A filly foal by Chaos out of an Ahorn Z mare attracted much interest at the 2008 Brightwells
August Auction and made £7,000, the highest price paid for a foal by a British
based sire and 3rd highest price paid overall.
Chaos also sired Psalm who as a yearling impressed judges to win the Sports
Horse Class at the Royal Welsh Show, before going onto become Reserve Supreme
Champion at the Royal Monmouthshire show the following year.
